Biography

Chidinma Victory Oforji is a Lecturer in Adult Nursing at the University of Salford and an Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Champion within the Nursing and Midwifery Directorate. With over a decade of international nursing experience across Nigeria, Ireland, and the UK, she is passionate about decolonising nursing education and transforming healthcare leadership through anti-racist, inclusive practices.

A PhD candidate at Sheffield Hallam University, Chidinma’s research investigates racialised bullying and discrimination in nursing education, drawing on critical autoethnography and lived experience. She is skilled in creative, Indigenous, and decolonial research methodologies, using them to elevate marginalised voices and reimagine leadership in nursing and higher education.

Chidinma is the founder of The Diaspora Nurse Leader, a leadership development initiative grounded in the philosophy of “leading from lived experience,” supporting Global Majority nurses to navigate, lead, and thrive within structurally unequal systems.

Her work spans inclusive curriculum design, cultural safety training, intersectionality, and community-informed leadership. She is also a speaker, CPD programme creator, and co-lead of award-winning initiatives that amplify the voices of underrepresented nurses in education and practice.
