Bioscientist prides itself in being a fully student-led publication, produced by students, for students.

Bioscientist began as the Salford Biomedicine Society's magazine, hosted on ISSUU, before being adapted for the Janeway platform.

Bioscientist is aimed at students looking for supplementary reading for their degree. Articles cover topical matters in the world of biomedicine and beyond, offering insights into the science behind disease, as well as key information on careers in science. Bioscientist receives academic support and often highlights research happening at the University of Salford in the biomedicine field.

Bioscientist has been recognised by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) and has featured contributions from top academic and industrial organisations, including the IBMS, the University of Cambridge, the University of Southampton, NHS Blood and Transport.
